Bobux wins silver at coveted 2015 Best Awards NZ
We are proud to partner with some of New Zealand’s most innovative organisations. We congratulate one such company, Bobux, on its recent success at the 2015 Best Awards. The work we do helps communicate their employer brands, promoting their positive business cultures and future opportunities.
Auckland based international footwear brand Bobux were honoured with Silver at the 2015 Best Awards, which highlights great Kiwi design ingenity.
On Friday 9th October, Bobux took home the coveted Silver prize in the New Zealand’s Best Product Design: Consumer category at the 2015 Best Awards.
Held at the glamourous Viaduct Events Centre in Auckland, the Bobux team (looking dapper as ever) attended the annual ceremony, rubbing shoulders with the finest kiwi designers around.
Amid the flowing beer and bubbles, the big bash illustrated the phenomenal designs and hard work currently taking place all over NZ - something we can all be proud of!
Excited and honoured to be considered for this prestigious award, Bobux was in the running for their latest innovative creation: the soon-to-be-released Blaze, their most advanced shoe to-date for toddlers and pre-schoolers.
This competitive category featured some fantastic innovations including colliding-water-particle showerheads, marine compression radars, yogurt makers, freestanding fireplaces and much more.
In awarding Bobux Silver, the Best Award judges were clearly taken with the durability of the Blaze shoe, the innovative sole design, the animal insoles that help pre-schoolers learn their lefts and rights and the user-centric approach to the Blaze’s development.
This award success follows on from Bobux’s big win on the international stage at the 2015 Red Dot awards earlier this year, and their nomination at the upcoming UK Junior Design Awards (which takes place October 19).
After the event, Bobux co-founder Chris Bennett was over the moon and full of praise for the efforts of the development team.
“This is an incredible result. Parents have long been clamouring for a shoe that can endure the harsh wear that kindergarten-age kids put them through. [Senior Creative] Ellen Ross and the team worked their socks - and their shoes - off this year to find a solution and I’m glad they’re gaining some recognition for their efforts…
“Around the office the Blaze has earned the title of ‘the game changer’ and that title has never felt more right than tonight!”
The Blaze collection is available from February 2016 as part of Bobux’s relaunch, alongside a whole range of new products that promote children’s foot health and play.
